So what is a Tarmac Rake? Unlike a basic garden or landscape rake, the professional tarmac rake has a longer handle and a wider head. Traditional Tarmac rakes have round teeth (properly tines) with sharp points, allowing them to penetrate and move easily through the material. Our Tarmac rakes have a solid steel neck that allows them to be bent to the perfect angle for the operative’s height & reach. The R&C tarmac rake is stocked and available in both steel and wooden handled versions.
The Asphalt Rake is similar in many ways to the Tarmac Rake, but traditionally the Asphalt Rake has square teeth (or tines). These square tines are useful in controlling the distribution of hot asphalt, prior to compaction, without sinking into the surface. The Professional Asphalt Rake has a solid steel neck allowing the rake to be customized to suit the height & reach of the operator. The rubber squeegee is the ideal tool for quickly manoeuvring viscous liquids such as Leotak used in the preparation of surfaces for tarmacking or for the spreading of pavement sealing products.
